Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Denpasar Sub-regional Police forensic team confirmed that no signs of violence were found on the body of Pauline Mary Cannon, an Australian citizen found dead in a Kuta hotel, Bali.

“Based on the crime scene investigation, no external signs of violence were found on the victim’s body,” said Denpasar Police Head of Public Relations Assistant Inspector Ketut Sukadi on Monday (7/10/2024).

Cannon was discovered in the hotel bathroom’s bathtub on Sunday morning. Her body was found submerged, with her head towards the south and her right hand and leg resting on the bathtub.

Hotel staff initially noticed water seeping into the hallway and traced it to Cannon’s room. They attempted to unlock the door with a master key but faced difficulties as it was bolted from inside. Upon entering, they found Cannon submerged in the bathtub with the faucet still running.

Medical staff from BIMC Hospital later confirmed that the victim had passed away. Police collected items such as her phone, wallet, and several medications.

Further updates regarding her body are yet to be provided.
