inp.polri.go.id - Banten. Banten Regional Police held an inspection of a drug and alcohol test to drivers at Cipocok Jaya Terminal as part of the 2025 Maung Safety Operation in Serang City.

The Director of Banten Regional Police Traffic Unit, Senior Superintendent Leganek Mawardi, represented by the Head Unit of Traffic Patrol, Superintendent Ricky Tri Dharma, says that the test focused on public transportation drivers.

“We are doing urine and alcohol tests to make sure that our drivers are not under the influence that could endanger the others on the road,” says Ricky on Friday (2/14/2025).

In his statement, he explains that other than urine tests, police also educate the drivers about the danger of driving under the influence.

Furthermore, he also appealed to all drivers, especially public transportation drivers, to always maintain their physical and mental condition before driving.

"We appeal to all drivers, especially public transportation drivers, to always maintain their physical and mental condition before driving. Road safety is not only the responsibility of the police, but also all road users. We hope that with this inspection, the number of accidents due to driver negligence can be reduced," he concluded.
