inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli highlighted three main challenges faced by job providers in helping job seekers enter the industrial world, namely workers affected by layoffs, people with disabilities, and job seekers from generation Z.

The first challenge is handling workers who have been laid off. The Minister of Manpower emphasized the importance of utilizing the Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) program which provides access to skilling, upskilling, and reskilling training so that they can be re-absorbed in the labor market.

"For those who have been laid off, JKP is here as a solution so that they can get new skills and return to work," said the Minister of Manpower on Friday (2/14/2025).

The second challenge is increasing job opportunities for people with disabilities. The Ministry of Manpower continues to strengthen job access for this group by establishing the Directorate of Placement of Disabled and Special Workers under the Directorate General of Manpower Placement Development and Expansion of Employment Opportunities

The third challenge is facing the characteristics and expectations of job seekers from generation Z which are different compared to previous generations.

Therefore, a special strategy is needed so that they can adapt to the ever-evolving world of work.

In addition, the Minister of Manpower emphasized the important role of job liaisons in ensuring a match between job seekers and industry needs, both in terms of technical competence and soft skills.

As a concrete step, the Minister of Manpower asked the Directorate General of Manpower Placement Development and Expansion of Employment Opportunities to hold a community of practice (CoP) regularly as a forum for exchanging best practices and strengthening the competence of job liaisons.
