Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. East Java Police have deployed their personnel to investigate the wild fire of Mount Lawu. Special Criminal Investigation Director of East Java Police, Grand Commissioner Farman, says that the investigation was carried out to accompany the police force of Magetan and Ngawi. “We provide help for Ngawi and Magetan Police in their investigation,” said Firman quoted from CNN on Thursday (10/5/2023). Farman states that the investigation is aimed to discover and finds out any deliberate elements and criminal acts on Mount Lawu wild fire. The wild fire of Mount Lawu in Ngawi and Magetan was raging since Friday, September 29th, 2023. The wild fire has been spreading to Karanganyar with a total area of 1,990 hectares. “The 1,990 hectares covers 1,250 hectares of Ngawi Regency, 700 hectares of Magetan Regency, and 40 hectares of Karanganyar,” says East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Chief Executive, Gatot Soebroto confirmed, Thursday (5/10).
