Papua - The Papua Regional Police arrested a man with the initials NT (25), a supplier of weapons and ammunition to an armed criminal group (KKB) in Intan Jaya, Papua. Previously, NT was included in the Nabire Resort Police's wanted list (DPO) since January 2020 regarding an ammunition transaction case. It is known that NT is the general secretary of the KKB in the Intan Jaya area who is actively conducting propaganda on social media. "NT is actively conducting propaganda on social media, raising issues of human rights violations by security forces. NT also plays a role in supporting efforts to reject Special Autonomy Volume II and the implementation of the 2021 National Civil Strike," said Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Drs. Paulus Waterpauw, Tuesday (5/1). To be accountable for his actions, NT was charged under Article 1 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum penalty of death or life imprisonment or a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
