Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Aceh Tamiang Sub-regional Police police officers and local residents worked together to clean Masjid Raya Al-Furqan mosque in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province, after thick mud from recent flooding submerged the mosque, police said on Tuesday (16/12/2025).
The effort was carried out by officers from the Aman Nusa II Task Force alongside community members.
“Thanks to the joint efforts of police personnel and residents, the mosque can now be used again for worship,” Aceh Tamiang Police Chief Superintendent Muliadi said, as reported by antaranews.com.
The clean-up focused on prayer halls, ablution areas, and entrances that were heavily covered in mud. Authorities said similar activities have been conducted at other mosques and public facilities affected by the disaster.
Floods recently affected several areas in Aceh Tamiang, prompting action between security forces and residents to restore essential facilities and daily religious activities.
