Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Tehran confirmed on Saturday (28/2/2026)that all Indonesian citizens currently residing in Iran are safe following joint military strikes by the United States and Israel.
"As of 2:30 a.m. local time, all Indonesian citizen coordinators we contacted reported no direct threats to our nationals," Ambassador Rolliansyah Soemirat confirmed via a voice message from Jakarta reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that embassy staff have established contact with community nodes across various Iranian cities immediately after the early morning attacks. There are currently 329 registered Indonesians in the country, and the embassy is prioritizing continuous communication to monitor their status.
Ambassador Rolliansyah urged all Indonesians to remain vigilant and implement necessary personal safety measures for their families. The Indonesian Embassy in Tehran continues to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta to assess the evolving security situation and provide any required emergency protection or assistance.
