Metro Jaya Regional Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate successfully arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking network originating from Sumatra. The three suspects are identified as S, D, and A. Police confiscated 11 kilograms of methamphetamine from them.
"We successfully apprehended three suspects, identified as S, D, and A, along with 11 kilograms of methamphetamine as evidence," said Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of Metro Jaya Regional Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, Superintendent Ade Candra, as reported by harianberkat on Saturday (7/12/2025).
This case was uncovered based on public information regarding suspicious activity in the Beji area of Depok. At 11:00 pm, a team of police immediately conducted an investigation and arrested suspect S.
During the initial interrogation, police obtained information regarding other methamphetamine goods at a boarding house in the Grogol Petamburan area of West Jakarta.
The team then conducted a raid on Perdana Kusuma street and arrested two other suspects, D and A.
At the location, officers found 11 packages of methamphetamine in a black suitcase, weighing a total of 11,000 grams. They also confiscated digital scales, large plastic seals, and several cell phones.
"The evidence is suspected to have originated from a network in Sumatra and was planned to be distributed in Jakarta and the surrounding areas," he explained.
The three suspects are currently being held accountable for their actions and charged under Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, which carries a maximum sentence of imprisonment or the death penalty.
