The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, clarified that the victim was not registered as being treated at Sumber Waras Hospital, as previously reported. 

Furthermore, his team has immediately confirmed the information as personnel have gone to the location and the hospital.

"The Kebon Jeruk Sector Police and the West Jakarta Sub-regional Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Unit have conducted an initial inspection of the suspected crime scene and visited Sumber Waras Hospital," explained Budi in a statement on Monday (5/18/2026).

According to him, the investigation has not yet revealed the identity of the victim as stated in the viral post.

"No patient data was found under the name mentioned in the post within the past month. Currently, this information is still under further verification, so its accuracy cannot be confirmed," he said.
