Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps uncovers the practice of buying and selling fake official vehicle plates after a raid in Jakarta.

The Director of Registration and Identification of INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus has suspected the illegal practice of selling the fake official vehicle plates along with its Vehicle Registration Certificate with the minimum price of IDR 55 million.

“The cheapest is IDR 55 millions, and the most expensive is IDR 100 million for one year,” said Yunus in Cilangkap on Thursday (5/2/2024).

According to him, the one who paid for the fake plate is the owner of the latest Land Rover car. He said that even military and police members are impossible to own a car that expensive, thus he asked the public to be more aware when seeing an expensive vehicle using the official plate numbers.

He then explained that for the vehicle registration certificate, there are special signs that are released by the police. However, the existence of the fake plate numbers are indeed taken advantage of by those who are unaware of that fact.
