Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy who also Heads the Acceleration of National Games Industry Development, Sandiaga Uno, says that the government is studying the recommendation of blocking online games that contain elements of violence.

“We are preparing several steps of cross check and review. I have also coordinated with the Communication and Informatics Ministry who has the authority,” said Sandiaga Uno on Wednesday (5/1/2024).

He says that if the online game reviews result indeed proved to be dangerous for the children, then the government will take firm action against it.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) fully supports the recommendation of banning online games that contain elements of violence due to its negative effects against children who played the games.

“From the very beginning, LPAI have seriously addressed the issue and have asked the government to take firm steps,” said LPAI Chairperson Seto Mulyadi.
