inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The Committee for the XXI National Sports Week (PON) Aceh-North Sumatra (Sumut) acknowledges the ID Card of journalists and allows them to freely cover the national sporting event in Aceh and North Sumatra.

This was stated by the Chairperson of the Supervisory and Steering Committee (Panwasrah) of the PON XXI for Media and Public Relations for North Sumatra, Raja Parlindungan Pane at the KONI Central gathering event which was held in a hybrid manner at the Santika Syandra Hotel, Medan, on Friday (9/62024).

“If the matches are over in Aceh and journalists want to cover the rest of the matches in North Sumatra or vice versa, they are freely allowed to do so.Their ID Cards are valid for the two provinces,” explained Pane.

So far, 433 of the 593 registered journalists have taken their coverage ID Cards. To facilitate the process, the collection of ID Cards, which was initially carried out at the PB PON Secretariat at the North Sumatra Governor's office, has now been moved to the Santika Diandra Hotel. "We want to ensure easier accessibility for our media colleagues," added Raja.

For journalists who have not registered but suddenly get a sudden coverage assignment, the committee will also provide ID Cards, although in limited numbers. "For journalists who get sudden assignments, we will facilitate the  ID Cards, but the number is limited," he said.

With this facility, journalists can cover the entire series of PON XXI events without any obstacles, ensuring that information related to this national sports festival to be conveyed properly to the public.
