inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto invites BRICS countries to strengthen collaboration in facing the climate crisis particularly through acceleration of the transition to clean energy, in order to address the real impacts that are also felt by Indonesia.
The statement was delivered in a meeting session with leaders and delegates of countries present in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday (7/7/2025), themed “Environment, COP 30, and Global Health”.
“The president has stated that the impact of climate changes are truly felt by Indonesia,” says the Vice Foreign Affairs Minister Arrmanatha Nasir in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, on Tuesday (7/8/2025).
Arrmantha states that Indonesia committed to participate in facing the climate change issue.
In the session, according to the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of countries also conveyed the same commitment to addressing issues regarding climate change.
Including strengthening collaboration and climate agendas ahead of the Conference of The Parties or COP30 which will be held in Brazil.
In addition to climate and environmental issues, Arrmantha said that President Prabowo also paid attention to global health issues.
According to him, Indonesia expressed its support for the World Health Organization (WHO) in addressing global health issues.
"Earlier, the President conveyed his commitment to continue to help WHO related to global health," he explained.
