inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. Dozens of people were evacuated from the flooded location in the Gardenia Estate Housing area, Ciputat, South Tangerang, Monday (7/7/25) night. In total, 30 adults, an elderly person, and two babies with their mothers were safely evacuated.
The evacuation was carried out by the Mobile Brigade Unit of Metro Jaya Regional Police. This rapid response was carried out as a form of optimizing humanitarian tasks in dealing with the flood disaster.
"This activity is real evidence of our mobile brigade unit dedication in carrying out humanitarian tasks. Ensuring public safety is the main priority in the midst of an emergency situation," explained Metro Jaya Regional Police Mobile Brigade Commander, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, on Tuesday (7/8/2025).
According to him, two mobile brigade Search and Rescue (SAR) teams were deployed to the location led by Brigadier Agus Supriyanto. This operation is equipped with two operational vehicles, two boats (rubber and sakunar), Mercury outboard engines, and safety equipment such as life jackets, SAR helmets, and boots.
He explained that floods with a depth of up to one meter or as high as an adult's chest forced residents to be evacuated to a safe place. During the evacuation process, a person named Ude Erlangga who was experiencing respiratory problems was evacuated to Sari Asih Hospital for further treatment.
He emphasized that his staff had been asked to pay special attention to the affected areas. He also instructed his staff to continue conducting SAR zoning patrols as a further anticipatory step.
