inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Government Communications Agency (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari, stated that the government under President Prabowo Subianto will continue implementing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program as it is a direct mandate from the people.

He explained that before running for president two years ago, Prabowo had outlined his vision and mission to the public. This included a number of priority programs, one of which was the MBG.

"The MBG program cannot be immediately stopped. It is Mr. Prabowo's vision and political contract. President Prabowo was elected because of the work programs he has proposed; these programs cannot be stopped," he explained on Wednesday (6/17/2026).

He further stated that the MBG program is based on noble goals. The policy is intended as a solution to the nutritional problems still faced by some children and toddlers in Indonesia, which have the potential to disrupt their growth and development.

Qodari acknowledged that the implementation of the MBG program faces various challenges. However, he believes these challenges should not be a reason to halt the program's implementation, given the significant benefits it provides to the community.

Therefore, he emphasized that the government remains open to discussion and welcomes input from the public to ensure the program's implementation runs smoothly. Furthermore, the government is committed to continuously improving its governance.

"It would be a big mistake to demand that Mr. Prabowo stop the program. That's precisely his campaign promise," said Qodari.

He added that President Prabowo's various work programs are designed not only as solutions to the various problems faced by the community, but also as solutions to various problems faced by the community.
