inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Government Communications Agency (Bakom) stated that the school holidays will be used to do a comprehensive evaluation on Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG).

Bakom Head Muhammad Qodari stated that SPPG operations will be temporarily suspended during the school holidays.

This measure is part of the government's efforts to improve the quality of SPPG services in providing Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) to schoolchildren, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers.

"As the holiday period is quite long, there is sufficient time and space for BGN to conduct a comprehensive evaluation," said Bakom Head Qodari on Wednesday (6/17/2026).

He explained that routine evaluations of SPPG quality, including facility conditions, cooking processes, hygiene and health standards, and food quality, are ongoing.

Based on the evaluation results, SPPG will be divided into several class levels. SPPGs with better quality will receive greater incentives.

"Going forward, the SPPGs themselves will undergo grading or evaluation. So, there will be SPPG classes. A grade for excellent service will be given, B grade for average service, and C grade for poor service. The SPPG grading classes will affect the incentives," explained Qodari.

He added that BGN has also prepared various other measures to improve the governance of the MBG program, including a moratorium on the construction of new SPPGs and a recalculation of incentives for SPPGs.

BGN will conduct a comprehensive audit of MBG kitchens during school holidays and close any SPPGs that are ineffective and do not meet standard operating procedures (SOPs).

This measure aims to improve food safety standards, service quality, and governance of this priority national nutrition improvement program.

Qodari emphasized that once the beneficiary data is accurate, the BGN will restructure the incentives for SPPGs, adjusting them based on the number of beneficiaries and other indicators such as the quality of the food served.

He added that the possibility of combining SPPGs as part of the adjustment or refocusing process and establishing incentives for each MBG kitchen is also possible.
