Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In a solemn ceremony, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo presided over the annual observance of Pancasila's Sanctity Day at the Pancasila Sakti Monument in Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta on Sunday morning (1/10/2023).
The President initiated the ceremony with a moment of silence, commemorating the invaluable contributions of the nation's heroes and freedom fighters, particularly the Heroes of the Revolution.
The commemorative event attracted high-profile dignitaries, including Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo, Speaker of the House of Representative Puan Maharani, and Chairman of the Regional Representative Council Lanyalla Mattalitti.
The event also boasted a significant presence of key ministers from his Cabinet, such as Coordinating Minister for Political, Lagal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Chief of the Indonesian National Defense Forces Admiral Yudo Margono, and Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) General. Listyo Sigit Prabowo also graced the occasion.
The ceremony drew the participation of invited dignitaries from various friendly nations, further underscoring the importance of Pancasila and its significance on the global stage.
The Pancasila Sanctity Day parade featured a lineup comprising units from the Police Women, the Police Professionalism and Security (Propam) unit of the Indonesian National Police, units from the Indonesian Military, and representatives of students from Jakarta.
Following the conclusion of the ceremony, President Jokowi and his entourage visited the Lubang Buaya well monument, a site that holds historical significance. The ceremony was a poignant tribute to Indonesia's enduring commitment to the values encapsulated in Pancasila, reaffirming its significance in the nation's historical narrative.
