inp.polri.go.id -  The Sultan of Ternate Hidayatullah Sjah granted the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as Prince of the Sultanate of Ternate. The appointment was carried out through a traditional procession at the Kedaton Sultan of Ternate, Ternate City. Jokowi was present wearing an oversized black Roke. "His Excellency the President of the Republic of Indonesia was also crowned Prince of the Sultanate of Ternate with the title Kaitjil. Kaitjil is a prince or the first line of the Sultan of Ternate," said Hidayatullah, quoted from a written statement by the Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday (28/09/2022). On that occasion, Joko Widodo was also given the title Dada Madopo Malomom, which means the Great Leader. The procession was marked by the embedding of the Lastar Ngare crown. Jokowi officially bears the two new titles after wearing the crown. "The meaning of the title itself is a great leader or the leader of a huge country, where the wisdom of those said leader is the core aspect in leading the country" he said. Previously, Jokowi received an honorary degree from the Sultanate of Buton. Jokowi holds the title La Ode Muhammad Lakina Bhawaangi yi Nusantara after undergoing the traditional rites yesterday.
