Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday conferred the honorary rank of four-star general on five distinguished Indonesian military (TNI) figures for their service in safeguarding national sovereignty. 

The honorees are current Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Muhammad Herindra, both close associates of President Prabowo since their cadet days. 

Also honored were former Jakarta Governor and Marine Corps elder Ali Sadikin, retired general Agus Sutomo, and veteran commander Yunus Yosfiah.

“These individuals have made extraordinary contributions to defending the Republic of Indonesia. Today, we honor their dedication and sacrifice,” President Prabowo said during the ceremony at the Special Forces Education and Training Center (Pusdiklatpassus) in Batujajar, West Bandung on Sunday (10/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The awards were part of a formal military honors parade, attended by top officials and veterans.
