Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto hosted a high-level consultative meeting at the State Palace on Wednesday (4/2/2026), gathering current and former foreign policy leaders to discuss Indonesia's strategic international trajectory.
"The President received Foreign Ministers and former deputies today to exchange views on the current situation with experienced experts in the field of foreign policy," said Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, as cited by antaranews.com.
The assembly included Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, former ministers Retno Marsudi, Marty Natalegawa, Alwi Shihab, former deputy minister Dino Patti Djalal and various think-tank experts. The primary focus of the dialogue centered on Indonesia’s stance regarding the "Board of Peace" (BoP) for Gaza and the ongoing struggle for Palestinian sovereignty amid shifting global power dynamics.
Dino confirmed that the invitation specifically highlighted Palestinian independence as a priority. Meanwhile, Marty noted the importance of clarifying Indonesia’s involvement in the BoP, following the President's recent warnings that Indonesia may exit the body if it fails to deliver tangible results for Palestinian statehood.
