Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto maintained Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining global order during his speech at the 19th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) in Jakarta on Wednesday evening (14/5/2025).

“Our Constitution, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, mandates us to contribute to global peace based on independence, eternal peace, and social justice,” he said, addressing over 400 delegates from 38 OIC countries, as reported by antaranews.com.

President Prabowo emphasized that these principles are not merely rhetorical but serve as a moral compass and the foundation of Indonesia’s foreign policy.

In the face of ongoing global conflicts and geopolitical rivalries, the president called for Muslim-majority countries to play a balancing role by promoting peace and justice. He praised the PUIC’s role since 1999 as a bridge for parliamentary diplomacy and a platform to voice solidarity and solutions to global challenges.
