Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto met billionaire and Bloomberg L.P. founder Michael Bloomberg at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday (18/11/2025), marking a follow-up to their earlier discussion in New York and signaling Indonesia’s push for deeper global partnerships in human development.
The meeting touched on education, health, sanitation, and potential collaboration with Danantara, Indonesia’s new strategic investment vehicle.
“One of the main focuses of the discussion was improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources through cooperation in education, health, and sanitation,” the Presidential Secretariat wrote on its official channel, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Bloomberg, who shared insights from his public-health initiatives as former New York City Mayor, also explored opportunities for joint programs to raise community wellbeing. The talks included potential cooperation between Bloomberg’s trust fund and Danantara’s own fund, covering education, healthcare, and sanitation. Both sides also examined possibilities in marine conservation.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, who is also Indonesian sovereign wealth fund Danantara’s CEO, said further technical discussions with Bloomberg’s team were held the same day.
