Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto ordered a nationwide review of land-use permits, suspending all new and extended forestry and mining licenses in 2025 to protect national interests and public welfare.
“This year, no permits are issued or extended because we are reviewing everything to ensure it truly benefits the people,” he said during a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace on Monday (15/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com
The policy covers forestry concessions (HPH) and mining business permits (IUP), while the government also reclaimed four million hectares of oil palm land previously controlled by non-compliant companies.
President Prabowo warned against concession holders who export profits abroad, calling it harmful to Indonesia’s sovereignty and economy. He instructed all ministries to align regulations with constitutional principles, ensuring natural resources are managed by the state for the greatest prosperity of the people.
