Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto held a high-level bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday (3/9/2025), reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to deepening strategic cooperation with China.
The talks came shortly after President Prabowo attended China’s military parade marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the war of resistance against Japan.
“Indonesia and China are true friends. Relations with China are a top priority in Indonesia’s foreign policy,” he said, thanking Beijing for its continued support of Indonesia’s economic and social development.
President Xi praised Prabowo’s presence despite domestic challenges, calling it a symbol of Indonesia’s strong friendship with China. He pledged support for Indonesia’s stability and development, highlighting cooperation in defense, trade, infrastructure, digital economy, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and fisheries.
Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya noted Prabowo’s eight-hour diplomacy with Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin reflected Jakarta’s determination to safeguard economic and strategic interests.
