The Indonesian National Police (INP) Command Center has been ready to secure the ASEAN Summit and to anticipate possible security problems that may arise in the field due to the complete infrastructure, personnel, control, coordination, communication and information (K3I) systems.
"The facilities and staff are in accordance with the needs of the operation. The command center is extraordinary, able to monitor the movement of all its members in the field well, able to recognize and monitor possible problems faced by its members to take quick actions accordingly," Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko said during a visit to the INP command Center in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara on Tuesday (5/9/23).
However, he said that it is more important for the INP Command Center to pay attention and explore potential problems to enable them to take action accordingly and immediately.
"By mapping possible problems, they can be resolved quickly. We must do whatever it takes to guarantee the security for a successful ASEAN Summit," said the Presidential Chief of Staff.
He called on the collaboration of the INP, the Indonesian Military and other stakeholders to support the 42nd ASEAN Summit. Various crucial locations, such as the facilities of the state-owned electricity company PT PLN and the state-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom as well as other possible issues surrounding the 42nd ASEAN Summit must also get attention, he added.
