Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto reminded of the importance of developing villages to prevent uncontrolled population migration from villages to cities.
According to Yandri, uncontrolled urbanization can make cities increasingly crowded and increase competition between communities in meeting life's needs, as is currently happening in Japan.
"I have gone around the villages several times to tell them that we don't want the Japanese tragedy to happen. Japan is currently experiencing a tragedy as 93 percent of the Japanese population is in the city," said Monday (11/25/24).
It is known that uncontrolled urbanization can cause poverty, per capita income inequality, increased unemployment, crime, air and noise pollution, and the growth of slum areas.
Therefore Minister Yandri said his party seriously upholds the tagline of "Build Villages, Build Indonesia" which implies the importance of building Indonesia from the villages.
According to the Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, the large number of people living in villages is one of the important factors in village development.
Previously, he had also reminded that cooperation between the government, in this case the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration and other related ministries as well as the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) is the key to advancing villages.
