Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga increased the price of 12 kg non-subsidized LPG canisters to Rp228,000 across Java and Bali on Sunday (19/4/2026), following a sharp rise in global energy benchmarks.
"The adjustment follows an evaluation of the Contract Price Aramco (CPA) and the recent spike in the Indonesian Crude Price," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting, as cited by antaranews.com.
The 18.75% price hike marks the first adjustment since late 2023, driven primarily by geopolitical tensions that pushed oil prices above $100 per barrel in March 2026. This policy also affects the 5.5kg Bright Gas canisters, which rose to Rp107,000, while prices in other provinces will vary based on regional distribution costs.
Government officials noted that the domestic energy market remains sensitive to the weakening rupiah and volatile global crude dynamics. Despite the increase in non-subsidized products, Pertamina continues to monitor market stability to ensure supply availability for households and small businesses nationwide.
