Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo detailed on Sunday (1/3/2026) the resignation of the ministry’s two high-ranking director generals following a financial audit that uncovered nearly Rp 3 trillion in state losses.
The departures of the Director General of Human Settlements, Dewi Chomistriana, and the Director General of Water Resources, Dwi Purwantoro, followed two warnings from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in 2025. Despite orders to address the discrepancies, which later dropped to Rp1 trillion, internal follow-up remained stagnant, prompting the Minister to take direct control of the investigation.
"I have formed my own team, which I lead myself, as a 'clean broom' to resolve this; when I began the cleanup, they chose to resign," Minister Dody said as cited by antaranews.com
To accelerate the recovery of state funds, the Minister is establishing an ad-hoc tribunal and reviving the Audit Committee with support from the Attorney General’s Office.
