inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Religion Ministry prepares several plans to anticipate conflict potential in the 2024 Regional Head Election.

“Now, we are getting warmer ahead of the election in November. In light of this situation, we are trying to push our conflict prevention effort through unity,” said the Director of Islamic Affairs and Sharia Development, Adib on Wednesday (7/17/2024).

Looking back at the previous political contestation, the political conflict by taking advantage of religious affairs is still a huge threat. In anticipation of the issue, tactical planning to tackle the matter is required, such as the Decree of the Minister of Religion (KMA) Number 332 of 2023.

“All officials of the Religion Ministry must implement this,” calls Adib.

According to Adib, in building harmony amidst the community, it requires strong unity within the internal of the Religion Ministry and solid cooperation with other parties.

“Such as from the police, military, home affairs ministry officials, to prosecutors. We are now trying to build other solid collaborations with other institutions,” continued Adib.

He saw that security, harmony, and order is the capital to build a strong country and invites others to join in suppressing every conflict.
