inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Member of Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Totok Hariyono believes that simulations could improve the competency and awareness on application and registration acceptance for 2024 Pilkada dispute resolution.

“This simulation is so that our colleagues from the Dispute Resolution Division can quickly absorb and understand the process of dispute resolution application completely. This is highly important as the 2024 Regional Head Election is in front of us,” said Totok on Wednesday (7/17/2024).

He also believed that the simulation could also be a place to learn on how to resolve disputes, especially when the forum also discusses the simulation on decisions and the main material of the decisions.

“As the commissioner of Bawaslu, we must understand and be able to construct a decision and the main material of the decisions. We do not want to let our lack of understanding lead to problems in resolving disputes in the election later,” said Totok.

He wants every Technical Working Meeting and simulations to be beneficial for the participants in resolving disputes in the election, and to be able to transfer the knowledge to their colleagues in regions.

In his closing remarks, Adib urges other Bawaslu members to give their best in their election monitoring and to understand the election regulation, while also maintaining their professionalism.
