All parties have to collaborate in realizing integrated 2024 Elections in Riau Province, says Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal during the second intersectoral coordination meeting with the theme of “Our Synergy and Collaboration in Realizing Integrated Elections in Riau” at Grand Elite Hotel, Pekanbaru. “As security officials, we have to work hand-in-hand to ensure that next year elections will be held smoothly, peaceful, and with integrity,” says the Police Chief on Friday (11/17/2023). Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal says that everyone has to took part in realizing safe, secure, and conducive elections. Together, all parties have to take the first step in carrying out pre-condition cooling system as knitting stronger cooperation with community elements, religious, community, and youth figures, as well as media press. He adds that while the election is within the authority of General Election Commission (KPU) and Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), all parties are still required to took part in helping the two institutions in succeeding the election. “We have carried out pre-conditioning steps as we have knitting relationship with all social elements, religious and traditional figures, even press and journalists,” says the Police Chief.
