Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The search for victims of the fatal Glodok Plaza fire in Tamansari, West Jakarta, was paused at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon (19/1/2025) and will resume Monday morning, according to the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency.

“The search ended today following an agreement with the police, who are leading the operation,” said Syarifudin, the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency’s Head of Operations, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

Search efforts are targeting specific areas with guidance from karaoke venue security personnel familiar with the building. Inspections, including a thorough check of the building’s elevator, have so far yielded no additional findings.

Eight body bags have been recovered, but the exact number of victims remains uncertain. Fourteen people are still reported missing. 

The search will resume Monday at 8.30 am, with teams continuing their efforts to locate any remaining victims.
