inp.polri.go.id – The Sectoral Police of Seputih Banyak (Polsek Separuh Banyak) oversee the distribution of around 7,200 liters of bulk cooking oil by PT. LDCI (Louis Dreyfus Company Indonesia) in Seputih Banyak district, Central Lampung, Thursday (14/4/2022).
According to the Head of the Sector Police (Kapolsek), Iptu Chandra Dinata, SH, MH, this activity was to prevent a shortage of cooking oil in stalls, shops, and traditional/modern markets.
"We are making this effort to ensure the availability of daily supplies during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as ensuring that the distribution runs smoothly and on target. Patrol and monitoring activities also aim to prevent hoarding which can lead to scarcity and price spikes,'' Chandra Dinata said.
Kapolsek explained that this activity was an order from the Central Lampung Police Chief AKBP Doffie Fahlevi Sanjaya, S.IK, M.Si to coordinate with the Central Lampung Regent Trade Office to ensure the availability of daily supplies in shops and markets during the holy month of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.
We urge the merchants to sell the items to consumers at the prices according to the HET (Rp14,000/liter or Rp15,500/kg) and must install a standard price sticker according to SE No. 09 Minister of Trade Regulation 2022 at retail locations to inform consumers of the applicable bulk cooking oil HET. ''I urge you not to hoard the supplies, especially bulk cooking oil for any reason,” warned Kapolsek.
He also emphasized that if there is hoarding, there will be a strong punishment. "We do not hesitate to legally process the perpetrators, under Article 29 and Article 107 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade and Article 62 of Law Number 8 of 2014. 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, with a criminal threat of five (5) years in prison, they will be prosecuted” he said firmly
"We just want to ensure that the availability and the prices of daily supplies in Central Lampung Police is safe," he said
