Inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Serang Sub-regional Police have established four posts to tackle motorcycle gangs in areas prone to street crime, aiming to uphold community security and order. Superintendent Condro Sasongko, the Chief of Serang Police, explained that two of these posts are located in the city center and crowded areas like Ciruas and Kibin. The other two posts are situated in Cikande Asem and Petir, bordering Tangerang and Lebak Regencies. "The establishment of these posts aims to provide a sense of security and prevent disturbances caused by motorcycle gangs," he said, as reported by antaranews.com on Monday (11/3/2024). Chief Condro emphasized that these posts at the borders are essential to prevent motorcycle gangs from outside the jurisdiction of the Serang Police, as incidents involving such gangs from other areas have occurred before. "Our goal is to maintain community peace by thwarting disturbances caused by street thugs from outside," he added. Despite setting up these posts, Chief Condro instructed his personnel and subordinate police stations to continue routine patrols to prevent street brawls. "These patrols will complement the efforts of the motorcycle gang posts without disrupting other routine activities," he asserted. In addition, cyber patrols will monitor and map out social media posts inviting brawls, with strict legal action awaiting those involved.
