Inp.polri.go.id - Banjarbaru.  South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan has partnered with local religious leaders, or also known as ulemas, to maintain public order and security throughout the fasting month of Ramadan.

Speaking in Banjarbaru on Monday, (23/2/2026), he highlighted the vital role of local wisdom and the influential voices of religious scholars in guiding the predominantly Muslim province.

"South Kalimantan is a religious region where the community deeply respects the wisdom of our Ulama," Chief Yudha said. "We hope their sermons will include messages on public safety to ensure everyone can worship in peace."

The joint operation involving the military and local administration aims to preemptively address common seasonal disturbances, such as youth brawls and illegal street racing.

Brigadier General Ilham Yunus, the Commander of the Antasari Military Command, affirmed that military soldiers will work alongside the police to close any gaps for criminal activity.
