inp.polri.go.id - West Java. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attends the 53rd Anniversary celebration of All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI) and Indonesian Workers' Day (HARPEKINDO) at Jatiluhur Training Center Development Center, Purwakarta, West Java, on Saturday (2/21/2026).
On that occasion, Sigit, who is also the Chairman of the KSPSI Advisory Board, emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Indonesian National Police (INP), labor elements, and all elements of society. This is key to facing any global dynamics that could potentially impact the country.
"Of course, our hope is that our collaboration will continue to improve in the future. Facing global dynamics is certainly not easy, as these dynamics also impact the domestic situation," said Sigit.
Sigit stated that each country continues to survive and improve by prioritizing its own resources. The global situation, Sigit said, will also impact Indonesia's employment sector if they don't work together to face it.
To prevent unrest in the labor market, Sigit stated that President Prabowo Subianto continues to implement various efforts to mitigate this issue in Indonesia.
"The President will certainly continue to push forward various strategic priority programs within his Asta Cita program. This includes promoting downstreaming, and one of the initiatives he will implement is the immediate implementation and promotion of the development of 18 strategic industries," Sigit said.
In his closing remarks, Sigit also highlights the importance of improving one’s capability and skills to add more value to themselves. According to him, it is crucial for people to keep improving themselves in facing the growing competition domestically and internationally.
