Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti confirmed that the suspected perpetrator of the SMA 72 high school explosion has been transferred from Jakarta Islamic Hospital to the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jati.

“The suspect has been moved to the Police Hospital. We will coordinate with the Indonesian National Police Chief to meet him,” he said after visiting victims at Jakarta Islamic Hospital in Cempaka Putih on Sunday (9/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Minister Mu’ti said that police now hold full authority over the case, while his ministry focuses on victims’ psychological recovery.

“We’re concentrating on mental healing, together with psychosocial teams,” he added.

The minister praised the students’ resilience, saying, “I’m proud of their strength and optimism.”

Police earlier revealed that the suspect, a student, suffered severe head injuries and had undergone surgery. He remains under strict guard in the ICU.

The explosion at SMAN 7 in Kelapa Gading, shocked the public, prompting calls to strengthen school safety and bullying prevention.
