inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Dody Hanggodo, the Minister of Public Works, requested that the preparation of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road safety be fully guaranteed to support the smooth flow of homecoming and return traffic for Eid 2025.

Dody appealed to the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), as the manager of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road section, to ensure that all toll road facilities are in optimal condition.

This is especially important considering that this road section is one of the main routes to Merak Port, Banten and the surrounding areas.

“Soon, the surge of 2025 Eid traffic will be upon us. I request the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road infrastructured to be fully prepared and ensure that all of its facilities are in optimal condition,” calls Dody on Sunday (3/2/2025).

Other than the toll road, he also emphasized the importance of maintaining the national road access condition which became the main access to port, airport, terminal, and station.

He highlighted that the national roads must continue to be its in prime condition to support the smooth traffic during the 2025 Eid.

"Ensure that national roads remain in good condition and comfortable to use. This is very important for people who travel long distances so that they feel safer and more comfortable during the trip," he explained.

It is known that the Ministry of Public Works through the Banten National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) has made various efforts to improve the quality of national roads through preservation programs.

In Banten Province, there are 51 national roads with a total length of 567.9 km, with a level of stability that has reached 97.67 percent.

During the period from January to February 2025, BPJN Banten has handled 12 national roads along the Pantura route.

Handling is carried out through hot mix patching, cleaning drainage, and making diversions to overcome waterlogging.
