inp.polri.go.id - West Sumbawa. The West Sumbawa Sub-regional Police has successfully arrested three men who stole PLN electric cables in Tartar Village. The three suspects, LZ (27), NF (23), and LW (20) are all from Pasir Putih.

The Head of West Sumbawa Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, First Police Inspector Kadek, confirms the arrest and the case is now being investigated by his unit.

Kadek reveals that the case investigation begins with the report from the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Main Unit Supervisor, Edi, who reported the theft of MVTIC type cables that had been installed on electricity poles but had not yet been supplied with electricity.

The thief was then caught red-handed by a PLN employee who saw a suspicious pick-up truck in Tartar Village and was going to Sekongkang. It was later revealed that the truck was carrying the cable pieces similar to the reported missing cables. Upon finding the thieves, the employee then reported the finding to the police.

“Police then immediately moved the three men along with the evidence to West Sumbawa Sub-regional Police for further investigation,” concludes Kadek.
