inp.polri.go.id -  The National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial rejected Ferdy Sambo's appeal regarding the decision to dishonorably discharge (PTDH) him from the National Police in a three-hour trial held at the National Police TNCC Building on Monday (19/9/22). Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia from PDIP Faction, Trimedya Panjaitan assessed that the steps taken by the Police were correct and appropriate. From the start, he never thought the appeal would be accepted. "I never thought that I would be accepted, it was never in my mind. It must be rejected," said Trimedya, Tuesday (20/9/22). According to him, the Ferdy Sambo case has attracted a lot of public attention. If Sambo's appeal is accepted, the National Police will again reap the attention of President Jokowi and the wider community. "If it is accepted, the community will be mad and President Jokowi will scold them again. Jokowi has clearly said to complete the case immediately and that's what we want," explained Trimedya. He also asked that Ferdy Sambo's criminal process to be carried out immediately, because the National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., must focus on preparing the security on the legislative and presidential elections next year. "Next week will be the ten months Police had struggled with this case. Next year the General has to talk about the legislative and presidential elections. He have to start to prepare what the concept of the security and what will be used as their benchmark," continued Trimedya.
