inp.polri.go.id - The Central Jakarta Metro Police have arrested a methamphetamine dealer with the initials SM (53) after developing a drug case in Medan City, North Sumatra. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Police Chief Komarudin explained that his members succeeded in developing narcotics crime cases after examining cellphone numbers related to the methamphetamine narcotics smuggling by airplanes at Soekarno Hatta International Airport. Commissioner Komarudin explained after receiving accurate information and data on Tuesday (12/7/22) night from North Sumatra Police, they were then goes to one of the houses in the Golden Gaperta Complex. Furthermore, members of Unit 1 Subnit 2 conducted a perimeter and then arrested SM. "The team managed to find 22 plastics green tea packaging with the words China in it, inside there was a plastic containing white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine, which SM previously hid in his wardrobe. Then we also found a cellphone, which according to SM, was used when picking up and delivering the narcotics,” explained the Police Chief. He continued that SM admitted that he got the methamphetamine from AD, around the entrance to the Kualanamu International Airport Area, Medan, North Sumatra, on the orders of HR. SM also admitted that he got paid for Rp10 million for delivering the drugs. AD and HR is now on a wanted list. "And the price of the 22 kg of methamphetamine-type narcotics is approximately Rp30.800.000,” he explained. For his actions, SM is charged with Article 114 (2) Sub Article 112 (2) RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the maximum penalty of capital punishment, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years.
