inp.polri.go.id - In welcoming the 76th Bhayangkara Day, the West Kalimantan Police (Polda Kalbar) held a Student Oration competition. The competition aims to provide space for the community to express their aspirations, as well as provide education to the public and how to express their opinions as regulated in the UUD 1998. The Student Oration Competition took place at the Tanjungpura University Auditorium and was opened directly by the Deputy Chief of Polda Kalbar, Brigadier General Asep Safrudin, Thursday (30/06/22). In his remarks, the Deputy Chief of Polda Kalbar explained that the themes of the speech were human rights violations, repressive actions by the police, and radicalism and intolerance. “This student oration competition was held with the aim and purpose of providing educational facilities and socialization to the fellow students. The existence of this oration competition does not mean that the Police teach and invite colleagues to be diligent in holding demonstrations, but rather to direct the rules that must be followed during the implementation of the oration," explained The One-Star General. The competition was attended by 120 students who were divided into 12 groups. The students who took part in the oration competition came from several universities in West Kalimantan. In that competition, the 1st place was won by the Ultraman Group, the 2nd place was won by the Borneo Lion Group, the 3rd place was won by the Api Group. Police Brigadier General Asep Safrudin expressed his gratitude for keeping all activities running smoothly and successfully, while also complying with the health protocols during the competition.
