As an expression of gratitude and a symbol of peace, the community held the traditional Honai burn in the Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Monday (3 May 2021) in the morning. The Honai burning tradition is led directly by the Chief of the PuncakTribe, Nicolas Salom. According to Nicolas, burning Honai marks the end of the conflict problem between Simon Alom and Elvis Tabuni by Papuan custom. "This is our custom from Monday (3 May) to Tuesday (4 May). During the activity, the situation is safe until the activity resume again," said Nicolas. In preparation for implementing the Honai-burning tradition, the Deputy Chief Public Relations of Nemangkawi Task Force, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Fajar Satria, and Head of Puncak Police Commissioner I Nyoman Punia also join the tradition.
