Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ensures the security for the 2024 homecoming season is ready. The statement was conveyed after the general monitored the situation from various regions. “Soon, we will go to West Java, Central Java, East Java, and possibly Bali to inspect their preparation,” said the police chief on Tuesday (4/2/2024). According to him, the monitoring was conducted to firmly guarantee the 2024 Eid Homecoming season would run smoothly as the current traffic flow is predicted to blow up far bigger than last year. “According to the survey from the Transportation Ministry, the number of travelers is predicted to increase 56% from the previous year. With this knowledge, we truly have to make sure that we are well prepared so that we can manage the traffic even though the number is bigger than before,” said General Sigit. Moreover, Sigit hopes that with the traffic engineering prepared by his party, it is hoped it would dissolve traffic congestions during the homecoming flow. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
