inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police have arrested a man identified as AR on suspicion of murdering a woman identified as SM, a spa therapist in the Bekasi area.

"The perpetrator was arrested in Kampung Sanding, RT 019/RW 005, Sumurbandung Village, Cikulur District, Lebak Regency, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM," said Head of the General Criminal Investigation Sub-Directorate, Superintendent Resa Fiardi Marasabessy, on Monday (1/12/2026).

He explained that the case began on Wednesday (January 7) at approximately 8:26 PM WIB. A witness identified as AS, who claimed to be a relative of the victim, was asked to come to the victim's boarding house at the request of the victim's mother because the victim could not be contacted since the afternoon.

Upon arriving at the scene of the crime, AS knocked on the victim's boarding room door, but there was no answer. Then, AS asked the boarding house manager, identified as DRH, to check and open the door.

"When the two witnesses opened the boarding room door using a duplicate key, they found that the victim was already dead," he explained.

He concluded by saying that during the inspection of the victim's room, a bottle containing toilet cleaner was found near the victim. "Furthermore, vomit was found near the victim," he concluded.
