The South Kalimantan Regional Police prepares the security preparation of the 19th Haul of Syekh Muhammad Zaini Abdul Ghani in Martapura, which said will be attended by millions of his followers throughout the country.   “We will immediately prepares our members and related stakeholders on how to support the success of this event, particularly in its security sectors,” says South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Winarto on Sunday January 7th, 2024.   Winarto acknowledges that managing millions of people coming to one location is very challenging for the security officials. On the other hand, Winarto adds that the gathering will be held in Ar-Raudhah Mosque. For this, Winarto encouraged his personnel for better cooperation with related stakeholders in maintaining security situation.   “What’s important is that people would comply and follow officials and volunteers direction at the field to maintain order,” explained the police chief.   The police chief emphasized that a good cooperation with related stakeholders plays pivotal role in supporting the success of the event as it coincides with election period. Therefore, Winarto also stressed the importance to communicate with General Election Commission and Election Supervisory Body to ensure no election laws violated at the event.   (ad/pt/pr/nm)
