Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) confirmed that more than 6,000 military soldiers from 13 countries will take part in the annual multinational exercise Super Garuda Shield (SGS), scheduled for 25 August 2025 to 3 September 2025.
The exercise will open at the Indonesian Naval Command and Staff School (SESKOAL) in Jakarta and conclude in South Sumatra.
“For participants, there are 13 countries involved, along with 22 observers from 11 other nations,” said Major General Kristomei Sianturi, the TNI Head of Information Center, during a reception aboard the Japanese Self-Defense Force vessel JS Osumi in Jakarta on Sunday night (24/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Participating nations include Indonesia as host, the United States, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Singapore. Observers will come from countries such as Germany, India, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste.
Exercises will be held in Baturaja, South Sumatra, and Dabo Singkep, Riau Islands, featuring live-fire drills and joint maneuvers aimed at strengthening regional security and interoperability.
