inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The alleged assault and assault case that resulted in the death of a man identified as EY (28) in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, is beginning to clear things up. Police have arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in the incident.
The three perpetrators arrested by the North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police are identified as YG, RA, and JAT.
North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Adhe Hariadi, stated that investigators are still investigating the roles of each perpetrator in the case.
"We have arrested three perpetrators suspected of involvement in this case, identified as YG, RA, and JAT," Adhe stated in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/29/2026).
Based on preliminary investigation results, the case is suspected to have stemmed from a dispute over a motorcycle belonging to BS, which the victim had reportedly pawned.
The perpetrators then asked YG for help in locating the motorcycle. The matter escalated, leading to the victim being taken by the perpetrators on Sunday (9/6/2026).
During the incident, the victim allegedly experienced violence at several locations in the Tanjung Priok area.
The victim was later found by the local community and immediately taken to Tanjung Priok Regional Hospital for medical treatment. However, after undergoing treatment, EY was pronounced dead on Wednesday (9/9/2026).
The police are currently investigating the sequence of events, including the roles of each individual involved.
Investigators have secured several pieces of evidence, including the results of a post-mortem examination and CCTV footage.
In addition to the three individuals who have been arrested, the police are still hunting for three other perpetrators who have been listed as wanted persons (DPO). They have the initials BS, B, and J.
"Three other perpetrators, BS, B, and J, are still being pursued and have been declared DPOs," he said.
The police have called the three DPOs to immediately surrender themselves to be held accountable for their actions according to the applicable legal process.
