Chief of North Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mulyatno, explained that based on the analysis and evaluation of security and order disturbance throughout 2021 until December, there have been 4,924 cases, mostly incited by alcoholic drinks. Police Inspector General Mulyatno explained that the highlighted public security and order disturbance are dissected as follows: persecution (1,049 cases), murder (26 cases), domestic violence (298 cases), and theft (868 cases). Meanwhile, there were 2,683 traffic accidents in 2021, with 346 people dead and a loss of Rp4,065,207,500. "From cases happened, most of them are background by perpetrators who drank alcoholic drinks excessively, leading to easy to be irritated and unable to control themselves, which created security and order disturbance towards other people", the two-star general said. As information, the Directorate of Drugs Investigation of North Sulawesi Regional Police has exterminated evidence of illegal thousands of litres of alcoholic drinks from the Intensified Routine Activities (KRYD). The extermination was conducted at the field of State Police School of North Sulawesi Regional Police at Karombasan, Manado.
