The Commander of the Indonesian National Military (TNI) Agus Subiyanto and the Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the personnel gathering at Monas Cross Field, Central Jakarta. The personnel will be assigned to secure the inauguration of the elected president and vice-president on Sunday (10/20/2024).

“We are gathering the personnel to prepare them in securing the presidential inauguration,” says the TNI Commander on Friday (10/18/2024).

The TNI Commander explained that the hundreds of personnel will secure the entire series of government transitions, including in Solo, when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) finally returns to his home. Meanwhile, to secure the series of events in Jakarta during the inauguration process, 24,200 TNI personnel will be deployed.

The Chief of Police added that from his institution, there are 15,000 personnel that are ready to secure the inauguration at the DPR/MPR Building and along the routes to the Merdeka Palace.

"Today, approximately 2,000 are here in this personnel gathering as the others have already been assigned to carry out the security operations at their designated points," explained the Chief of Police.
